Joseph, Tuesday mornings, 6am – 7am, St. Paul
Catholic Church (in the Cafetorium) The Men of St.
Joseph is a group of active Catholic men dedicated to becoming
the spiritual leaders of our families. Through prayer
and the guidance of the Holy Spirit, the Men of St. Joseph
have dedicated themselves to the following proposition:
“Put the family back in the hands of the Father.” The
men meet weekly to read from the Magnificat, pray for the
intentions of various members of the group, read and discuss
the Gospel reading for the upcoming Sunday and dismiss.
In the course of the prayer intentions and scripture
discussion, we support one another in our effort to become the
“best version of ourselves” and to be the spiritual leaders of
our family and faith community. Mike Mangrum (850)

Stewardship Scripture Passage by Father
Richard
“Stop worrying, then, over questions like,
‘What are we to eat, or what are we to drink, or what are we
to wear?’ The unbelievers are always running after these
things. Your heavenly Father knows all that you need. Seek
first his kingship over you, his way of holiness, and all
these things will be given you besides” (Matthew 6:31-33).
Tithers or those working toward the tithe are delighted in
putting “first his kingship over you,” especially in matters
of finance. This helps them to distinguish between their needs
over their wants; their trust in God’s providence rather than
their income. He is not the end of the line of “bill
collectors:” mortgage, rent, insurance, auto, utilities, etc.,
God. He is first, not from what is “leftover.” They are
delighted because, among other things, they are experiencing
“all these things will be given you besides.”
Father Richard Altenbaugh can be reached at
850-941-0445.
